BrewSoft

Recipes, batches and what's in the cupboard. Open source. Runs on your own computer.

The brewing apps everyone uses are good, no argument. They're also somebody else's cloud, and your recipes live wherever they decide. We wanted the same sort of thing on a box at home, open source, in grams and litres. And the hops and malt you can buy here already in the list, not typed in off the packet. So we're having a crack at it.

What it does

Where it's at

Early days. Accounts and sign-in work, on our own server. Nothing to download yet.

Next, in order: ingredients and inventory, equipment profiles and BJCP styles, the recipe designer and its maths, batches, BeerXML, the NZ data, then water chemistry. That one's last because it's a bit of a mission. No dates. The source goes public with the first release you could brew off. Till then, this page is it.

What it won't do

No phone apps, no public recipe library, no cloud-to-cloud gadget integrations, no AI helper. Brew-day timers and a proper water calculator come after the list above, not before.
